Story of Little French
Once upon a time in 2015, two French transplants – maître d Matt and pastry chef Ben – met while working at Clooney. On a mission to convince the New Zealand palate that French desserts are worth it, the pair bonded during a roadie to Russell.
“Should we open a company together?” was the question on their lips (along with pastry flakes). Matt’s head for business met Ben’s hands for baking, and voila! A new culinary adventure was born.
Little French is a modern French food experience for Kiwi foodies. We love bringing people together with great food. For us, it’s the ultimate way to create new connections and memories. Food is not the enemy, and nothing’s off-limits.
We believe, everything in moderation. Including moderation.
Our expertly crafted treats are handmade with French flair from exceptional, often unexpected ingredients. This is the story of two chefs: Ben has crazy-brilliant ideas and Matt’s pursuit of the perfect dish brings them to life. One of us is down to earth and one lives in the clouds (possibly why our pastries are so light). It’s a partnership that makes sublime food and memorable experiences.
